2 Days, 2 New US Cities: Lufthansa Adds Phoenix Airbus A350 Service In Record-Breaking Route Expansion
Lufthansa is expanding its US network for summer 2027, announcing nonstop flights between Munich Airport (MUC) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) just one day after revealing a new Frankfurt Airport (FRA) – Columbus International Airport (CMH) route. However, unlike the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner selected for Columbus, Lufthansa will operate the new Phoenix service with the Airbus A350-900. According to the Lufthansa Group's summer 2027 schedule announcement, flights to Arizona will begin next summer, operating three times per week.
