According to reporting by The Guardian, the individual behind AOG Technics, 38-year-old Jose Alejandro Zamora Yrala, organized the scheme from an office registered in the United Kingdom, distributing components for CFM56 engines used on popular narrowbody aircraft, such as the Boeing 737NG and Airbus A320ceo. The fraud spanned several years and impacted operators across Europe and the United States.
