How Many B-52 Stratofortresses Are Left In 2026?

TheUnited States Air Force (USAF) is one of just three military aviation powers with a fleet of strategic bombers. The famousB-52 Stratofortress, built by Boeing in the 1950s and known as the BUFF ('Big Ugly Fat Fellow'), continues to be among its most iconic strategic strike aircraft. Expected to serve past the 100-year mark from its original date of service, there are still a total of 76 BUFFs in the USAF fleet, according to Air & Space Forces Magazine.
