Russia's few tactical aircraft buyers today primarily consist of Algeria, Belarus, Iran, Myanmar, and North Korea. Sources like Aerospace Global report that longstanding allies like Vietnam, India, and Egypt are reducing or discontinuing procurement contracts. Partially because the invasion of Ukraine has seen a dramatic loss of military aircraft in all classes and generations as a result of combat, the Russian defense industry is focused on wartime domestic orders with little capacity afforded for exports. The sanctions on aerospace imports and exports have also forced the Russian aviation industry to consolidate its domestic supply chain.
