The Boeing 747 has long been considered to be an icon in the passenger aviation sector, and this writer remembers having a cast-iron model of a British Airways 747 as a child. Among the many long-range widebody airliners manufactured by Boeing, the 747 features a partial double-deck, the upper level of which contains the cockpit, along with space for additional passenger seating or a lounge area.
