United Airlines has eight hubs - East to west, they are Newark, Washington-Dulles, Chicago O'Hare, Houston Intercontinental, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Guam. It is the dominant airline at most of these airports, many of which are in America's top cities. Washington D.C. is no different, where data from the Department of Transportation (DOT) shows that the Chicago-based carrier holds a 58% market share in Dulles, not counting United Express-branded flights.
