Delta Air Lines took delivery of 38 new mainline aircraft in 2024 as it continues to renew and expand its fleet to meet the post-pandemic surge in travel demand. This was the most out of the US legacy carriers, with United Airlines and American Airlines taking 36 and 22 deliveries respectively. However, both were well below initial targets due to the impact of production delays at Boeing.
