The history of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is extensive. The TSA began following the tragic events of 9/11, September 2001, a day the world stopped in disbelief and sadness about the terrorist attack in New York, US. This event meant the TSA was formed on November 19th 2001 to ensure a robust security task force was created for the United States.
