Since the outbreak of conflict in Israel on October 7th, most airlines operating flights to Israel suspended service. A combination of the risks associated with the war and insurance being withdrawn meant Israel faced being cut off from its global neighbors. As such, Israeli flag carrier El Al and fellow Israeli carriers Arkia and Israir have been essential for flights in and out of Israel, maintaining the necessary air bridge connecting Israel to Asia, Europe, and North America.
