The Northrop Grumman B-2 “Spirit” Stealth Bomber has flown for three decades and a few weeks as the ultimate in stealthy strategic bombing. The first operational B-2 was delivered on December 17, 1993, and ever since, the only operator – the United States Air Force – has been able to call upon the small fleet of 21 aircraft to penetrate heavy air defenses and bomb strategic targets with stealth and flexibility.
