The latest version of the Airbus Transporter, the BelugaXL, is based on the Airbus A330-200F and is built to replace the original Airbus Beluga. The BelugaXL performed its first flight in July 2018 and entered service with Airbus Transport in January 2020. The company built six BelugaXL, providing the necessary transport of oversized aircraft components, including wings.
