The B-24 Liberator is known for its service during World War Two and went on to serve in a range of roles following the war. The plane was built in greater numbers than any other US military aircraft, yet only a baker's dozen survive today. Often compared to the similar B-17, the aircraft saw service in every theater of the conflict before its retirement at the war's end.
