In June, Boeing announced its annual Commercial Market Outlook (CMO), showing the forecasted need for over 42,000 new passenger and freighter aircraft in the next 20 years. The European manufacturing giant, Airbus showed similar numbers for global fleet requirements for new aircraft by 2042. This is because global passenger traffic is expected to increase significantly in the coming years.
