Delta Air Lines Doubles Profits As Other Airlines Struggle

Delta Air Lines announced its Q3 earnings earlier today, revealing a huge increase in profit year-on-year. The Atlanta-based carrier brought in $14.55 billion in revenue and a net income of $1.11 billion, with strong demand over the summer driving gains, especially on international routes. The results come as other airlines report lower-than-expected profits, and even losses, due to increasing costs, aircraft issues, and softening demand.
