Earlier today, Alaska Airlines announced a new route from Anchorage to New York City, which will become the airline's longest route. According to Cirium data, Alaska has over 40,000 flights scheduled for next June, and 3,368 of those are over 2,500 miles. Currently, its longest route is from Anchorage to Chicago, but New York is set to be 500 miles longer.
