NTSB Issues Final Report On United Airlines Flaming Engine Incident

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has issued a final report on the 2021 incident that occurred onboard United Airlines Flight 328 minutes after departing from Denver International Airport (DEN). The right engine of the Boeing 777-200 aircraft caught fire after what appeared to be a fan blade separation event. The pilots declared an emergency and returned to DEN without further incident. There were no injuries to passengers or crew members on the flight.
