Compared to almost any other mode of transportation, private jets, on the whole, are rarely, if ever, associated with fuel efficiency. As things stand today, jet aircraft inherently require a lot of fuel to produce the thrust necessary to reach their cruising speeds and altitudes. Typically low passenger counts on private jets, in particular, further add to the general lack of fuel efficiency, as fuel burn per passenger is drastically higher than nearly any other option.
