On 21 July 2023, Royal Air Maroc, the flag carrier of the North African nation announced that it was preparing tenders for the acquisition of ten new aircraft. Seven of these aircraft will be narrowbody 737 MAX jets and three long-range widebody Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
