Airliners have become much quieter over the years, both on the inside and out. Gone, for instance, are the days of sitting right next to the jets in an MD-80. Even so, having a quiet and comfortable flight is no less important than ever, so some might still find it worthwhile to seek out the quietest aircraft available.
