Northeast Storms Force More Than 1,000 US Flights To Be Canceled

Severe storms have battered the Northeast US, with thunderstorms and heavy rain causing significant disruption to flights in the area. The scale of the disruption reached its peak on Sunday, when, according to data from the flight tracking website, FlightAware, a total of 1,746 flights within, into, or out of the US were canceled.
