It will be a hive of activity in Manitoba this spring, as Porter Airlines (PD) has announced its intentions to commence a direct service between Toronto Pearson and Winnipeg. The unique Toronto-based airline had once operated primarily out of its base at Toronto Billy Bishop (YTZ), also known as Toronto Island airport, before it re-invented itself with the delivery of the highly anticipated Embraer E195 and commenced a flurry of operations from one of North America's busiest airports.
