Within the last few years, two new players have burst onto the United States low-cost airline scene. Breeze Airways, a Utah-based carrier, was founded in 2018 and has expanded rapidly within the past year alone. Avelo Airlines, a Houston-based startup, commenced operations in April 2021 and has also grown with impressive speed.
