Alaska Airlines Working With ZeroAvia To Develop World’s Largest Zero-Emission Aircraft

SeaTac-based Alaska Airlines (AS) has cemented its partnership with ZeroAvia, presenting one of its Bombardier Q400 turboprops with plans to be retrofitted with a hydrogen-electric propulsion system further to explore the capacity and technology of zero-emission flights. The aircraft gifted was one of Alaska's Horizon Air fleet, that when retired last year, was stored, destined for ZeroAvia.
