Why A British Airways Airbus A321 Has Been On The Ground In San Antonio Since January

People following British Airways’ fleet may have seen a flight on January 19 of an ex-British Midland International Airbus A321-231 from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to San Antonio International Airport (SAT). It was listed as stored, then revealed it would undergo conversion into a freighter aircraft. Although the aircraft, formerly registered as G-MEDJ (C/N 2190), does not show up under BA’s owned A320 family aircraft on ch-aviation, searching for the registration does link to a page that states it’s now a cargo airliner, still owned by the UK flag carrier.
