To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Boeing 747-400s first flight on April 29, 1988, we looked at which still active airline Boeing 747-400s have the most flight cycles. Despite having sold 700 747s by the 1980s, sales began to decline. To compensate for a fall in sales, Boeing decided to modernize the 747 giving it more fuel-efficient engines, advanced electronics, and a new interior.
