The venerable Boeing 757 is still relatively well used. This summer, nine passenger airlines have planned more than 124,000 flights, according to OAG data – more than 570 daily. About nine in ten 757 flights involve the USA, mainly thanks to Delta, but also United, Icelandair, and now Northern Pacific. Globally, the average 757 route length is 1,343 miles (2,161 km), which raises the inevitable question: what are the shortest routes?
