56 years ago today, on March 13th, 1967, a South African Airways (SAA) Vickers Viscount aircraft named "Rietbok," with the registration number ZS-CVA crashed into the sea while on approach to East London Airport (ELS). All 25 passengers and crew were killed in the accident, which to this day remains a mystery.
