Felix Antelo, Chief Executive Officer of ultra-low-cost-carrier Viva Air, Colombia, has resigned in the face of a potential acquisition of Colombian flag carrier Avianca. Antelo joined as leader of Viva in 2018 after a stint as CEO with LATAM Peru. On February 22, Antelo advised the Viva board of directors of his decision, highlighting personal health concerns as a motivator for the resignation.
