With its backdrop of sun, sea, and mountains, Cape Town, South Africa, is a treasured tourist destination. Just south of the city center lies the Table Mountain nature reserve, filled with popular hiking trails that provide breathtaking city and ocean views. The eastern section of the area features Devil's Peak, one of the highest points of the whole mesa. However, the climb can be steep, and on May 26, 1971, this would be the site of a fatal air crash.
