Italy's treasury has confirmed that it has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Lufthansa regarding the sale of a minority stake in national airline ITA Airways. If finalized, Lufthansa's proposal will initially see it take a 40% stake for a price of between €200-300 million ($217.1-325.7 million) with options for further shares down the line.
