Last year, when Simple Flying looked at the busiest airports in the Republic of Ireland, we found that Dublin Airport (DUB) comfortably came out on top. With this facility serving the country's capital city, this was hardly a surprising result, and the fact that this airport is Ireland's busiest for cargo traffic is also to be expected. Nonetheless, it is still worth examining why this hub is so important.
