It has now been 51 years since the crash of Iberia flight 602, which came down while approaching Ibiza on January 7th, 1972. The domestic flight was operated by a Sud Aviation SE 210 'Caravelle' twinjet, which was destroyed by its impact with a mountain after failing to stay above the minimum altitude for the approach.
