Boarding an aircraft is a process that we are all familiar with, whether it is done via a jetbridge or external stairs. For the latter of these methods, passengers are sometimes required to take a bus transfer to a remote stand, where boarding via stairs occurs. However, mobile lounges are little-known vehicles that served as something of a halfway house before falling out of fashion. This is their story.
