Singapore Airlines has recently clocked in half a century of flying to Frankfurt. On August 3rd, 1972, the inaugural maiden flight took off from Singapore and landed at Frankfurt's Rhine-Main Airport as Malaysia-Singapore Airlines. It was the first of many flights that eventually established an ever-lasting political, economic, and tourist relationship between the airline and Germany.
