On March 4, 2019, CommutAir flight 4933, operating the service for United Airlines onboard an Embraer EMB145XR, registration N14171, was attempting to land on runway 1 at Presque Isle International Airport (PQI) when it impacted terrain to the right of the runway. More than three years later, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) released its final report and said a string of errors and miscues were behind the accident. Let’s investigate further.
