On July 28th, 2022, an Indigo flight bound for Kolkata had to be canceled following a taxiway excursion in Jorhat. While taxiing to the runway the aircraft went over a section of grass alongside the runway and the right wheels dug deeply into the mud. The aircraft was later returned to the airport for a maintenance inspection. All persons involved are reported to be safe and passengers were rerouted to their final destinations.
