Experimental Record-Breaker: The Story Of The Tupolev ANT-25

First constructed in 1933 by the Soviet Union for several record-breaking flights, the Tupolev ANT-25 was a single-engine low-wing monoplane with retractable landing gear. Constructed primarily out of metal, the plane was flown by a crew of three. The pilot sat directly behind the engine, followed by a crew rest area, then the navigator/radio operator station, followed by the co-pilot's cockpit.
