Singapore Airlines plays a vital role in connecting Australia to the outside world. Between the end of June and the end of October, the Star Alliance member has 11% of Australia's international flights. That might not sound much in itself, but it is more than any foreign airline after Air New Zealand. It is three percentage points than Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Etihad combined.
