India To Restrict Airlines Denying Boarding To Disabled Passengers

Less than a week after it fined India’s largest airline for denying boarding to a special needs child, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has proposed amendments to its Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) rules to ensure such incidents are prevented in the future. The proposed changes aim to prevent airlines from being able to decide if a disabled passenger is fit to fly.
