In 2021, the Mexican ultra-low-cost carrier Volaris had record operating revenues and traffic levels and fully rebounded from the COVID-19 pandemic by having a net income of over US$103 million. Nonetheless, the airline understands it is not out of the woods yet, as many challenges could still derail the company’s financial performance.
