Rekkof: The Company Trying To Restart Production Of Fokker Jetliners

In 1996, Dutch planemaker Fokker ceased operations. Leading up to the company's sad conclusion, unfavorable conditions brought on by a recession and a spike in gas prices in the early 1990s resulted in significant losses. Hoping to revive this chapter of Dutch aviation, a company by the name of Rekkof set out in the early 2000s to produce a next-generation variant of the Fokker aircraft.
