Today marks the 48th anniversary of what was once the deadliest-ever plane crash to take place on Indonesian soil. Pan Am flight 812 was a multi-stop service that originated in Hong Kong, and was eventually bound for Los Angeles. However, a tragic accident meant that the flight didn't even reach its first stopover location.
