The backlash against Russia is having one very visible consequence. Ten of thousands of Russians are stranded abroad in cities and popular holiday hotspots. It comes as many airlines abandon flying to Russia and national airline Aeroflot pauses its international flights. Compounding the problems for the stranded Russians - suddenly their western branded credit cards don't work.
