American Express CEO Steve Squeri shared that travel expenses are returning to pre-pandemic levels, helping with airline recovery. Squeri said the industry is at 80% when it comes to travel and expenses in Q4 2021, with the consumer segment over 100% from 2019 levels. Overall, travel bookings have been growing monthly since December.
