Jack Northrop was an American industrialist, born in 1885, and involved in many aircraft designs over his long career. He is best known for founding the Northrop Corporation in 1939. The company produced many military fighter and bomber aircraft, including the B-2 stealth bomber. It is still part of a leading defence technology company Northrop Grumman following a merger in 1994.
