The Tupolev Tu-104 jetliner was active for a quarter of a century, serving both commercial and military operators between 1956 and 1981. Sadly, unreliability issues plagued the type, with several being lost to crashes. The last of these, caused by improper loading practices, resulted in the permanent grounding of the type 41 years ago.
