The Federal Aviation Administration has moved to ban US airlines and US pilots from overflying Ukraine. On Thursday, the FAA issued the ban via a Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM). Previously, US airlines and US pilots could not fly in eastern Ukraine. Thursday's NOTAM expands on the prohibited zone to cover Ukraine and parts of Russia. It comes as heavy fighting continues on the ground in Ukraine.
