Impressive: Breeze Ends Launch Year With 330k Passengers Served

US startup Breeze Airways had, by all accounts, a busy and prosperous launch year. It ended 2021 by receiving its first Airbus A220, as well as reaching the milestone of having carried 330,000 passengers since launching. You can read more about this here.

Hawaiian Airlines: We Are Not Constrained On Growth

Hi Fly Pilot Achieves New Flight Record With Airbus A330neo

Hi Fly Commander Carlos Mirpuri ended 2021 in style when he set the record for the fastest commercial flight between Madeira and Lisbon. Using an Airbus A330-900, the record-breaking journey took just 70 minutes, and was verified by two onboard FAI members.

Why 2021 Was The Right Time For French bee’s New York Launch

2021 marked a successful year for French bee, as it saw the launch of the Parisian low-cost carrier’s first services to Newark Liberty International Airport. These followed the previous launch of flights to San Francisco. Simple Flying recently had the chance to speak to French bee CEO Marc Rochet, who reflected on why last year was the ideal time to open the route.

United Airlines To Offer Triple Pay For Extra Trips Amid Omicron Disruption

The Omicron variant of coronavirus caused extensive disruption over the holiday period, which is traditionally one of the busiest times of the year for the airline industry. To help negate potential staff shortages, United has offered pilots 3.5 times their regular pay for any open trips picked up between December 30th and January 3rd. You can find out more here.
