The long-haul airline French bee is ready to connect the Paris-Orly International Airport with Los Angeles beginning March 2022, the carrier announced today. According to the company, it will initially use its newest Airbus A350-900 aircraft on four flights per week. Let’s investigate further.
Going to LAX and beeyond
French bee is currently operating 126 flights in November 2021, according to Cirium’s database. The carrier is flying from Paris-Orly to Newark, St-Denis, and San Francisco. It also runs the Tahiti-San Francisco route.
Next year, it will expand its West Coast presence, with the launch of a Los Angeles route to Paris-Orly beginning March 2022. French bee began selling the tickets today with introductory fares starting at US$661 each way, the carrier said in a statement.
Marc Rochet, president at French bee, said,
“Following the success of our Newark launch and relaunch of San Francisco, we are enthusiastic to debut Los Angeles as our third US route to Paris and continue our rapid US expansion.”

When and how?
The route between Paris Orly and Los Angeles will begin on April 9, 2022. French bee will operate four weekly nonstop flights between both airports.
The French carrier will operate the new route on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Moreover, it will increase up to six flights per week starting in July 2022.
The departure flight from Los Angeles will go at 7:45, with arrival at Orly the following day at 3:35 pm, local time. The return flight will depart from Orly at 2:50 pm for arrival at Los Angeles at 5:15 pm.
Marc Rochet added,

Using the A350-900 and traveling in-style
The airline is going to use its Airbus A350-900 aircraft to operate the route. According to ch-aviation, French bee has four A350-900s, and it will also receive one A350-1000 in the future.
French bee’s A350-900 can carry 411 passengers in two-class service. It has 376 seats in economy and 35 in premium economy. All leather seats include adjustable headrests, USB and electrical ports, headphone plugs, and “unlimited in-flight entertainment” on extra-large HD touch screens, advertised the carrier.
The fuel consumption per passenger is 117 miles per gallon onboard the Airbus A350.
Alaska Airlines gets in the picture
French bee also has developed an interline partnership with Alaska Airlines. This alliance will allow travelers to purchase a single ticket with either of the carriers and have access to more accessible travel to and from many destinations in the United States.
Alaska Airlines operates nearly 4,000 flights from Los Angeles International Airport as of November 2021. It goes to 39 destinations in the US, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Belize, according to Cirium’s database.
