Iberia Grows Croatian Services For Summer Leisure Demand

As a part of its commitment to restarting global tourism, Iberia announced last week that it expanded the number of flights from Spain to Croatia. In a statement released on June 15, the Spanish national flag carrier said it had added three destinations in Croatia to its summer network: Dubrovnik, Zagreb, and Split.

Iberia believes that Croatia offers vacationers a unique mix of outdoor and cultural activities and its beautiful Adriatic coastline, where people can soak up the sun and swim. If you dream of spending sun-kissed days next to sapphire waters in the shade of ancient walled towns, Croatia is where you can turn these dreams into a reality.

Dubrovnik

Regarded as being the pearl of the Adriatic Sea, the sense of awe you feel when seeing the old town for the first time will last for a lifetime. Walking its limestone streets surrounded by baroque architecture and the shimmering blue sea, Dubrovnic is an open-air museum with centuries of history.

In 1991, during the breakup of Yugoslavia, the world was shocked by the shelling of the town and its surrounding mountains. Since then, the city has rebounded from the war and is eager to embrace tourists with open arms.

During the summer, of 2021 Iberia will offer five weekly flights from Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport (MAD) to Dubrovnik Airport (DVB). The number of flights between MAD and DVB will increase to ten flights per week in July and a twice-daily service in August.

The Croatian capital of Zagreb

A world away from the sun-soaked islands of the Adriatic, Zagreb has a charm all of its own. Seen by most travelers as a city to fly into before heading off to the Istrian Peninsula, or Dalmation coast, Zagreb and its medieval and charms are often overlooked by visiting tourists.

Easy to explore on foot, Zagreb is an eclectic mix of secessionist, neo-baroque, and art deco buildings surrounding beautiful parks and green spaces. In Zagreb, you will find plenty of good restaurants, lively bars, and a cafe culture of young people having a good time.
